I have been trying for the last 3 weeks to sign up for the 3 bureau monitoring product. I've called customer support countless times, but they really haven't been able to help me and apparently they can't just sign me up over the phone. It seems to me at this point, my problem should be escalated to someone who can do something, but instead all I get are vague suggestions about how to fix the problem from nice people on the phone, and none of their suggestions are of any help in the end. I'm hoping someone on here might have a better idea.
I first tried to sign up using Firefox. I used it on the same laptop computer to sign my OH up for his account. His went through fine, first try. Mine gave me a 210 error message and told me to try back later. I tried again 3 more times. I was told that Firefox doesn't always work so try Chrome or IE and to make sure to leave 24 hours in between attempts. Neither Chrome, nor IE worked. So I called again and was told to clear out the cache and cookies for my browsers. Neither Chrome nor IE should have had any, since I downloaded Chrome just for this purpose, and I don't use IE ever. But I cleared out everything on Firefox and tried again. Got a 210 error again.
What am I doing wrong? Is there a way to clear the cache off the computer in general? And if it's a cache/cookie/browser issue, why would it work to set up one account but not another? I even tried making a new account for myself, but my SSN is tied to this one, so I can't. It seems I'm stuck, so I do hope someone out there can help me! Thank you!
Are still getting the same problem or is it resolved as the I see this was post in late May?
I am, and I just tried again 30 seconds ago after doing a complete disk clean up on my laptop and deleting all sorts of cached files. I've tried on my phone with Chrome. I've tried on a different laptop with IE. I still get the same error message.
