Few days ago I paid $24.95 to get 3-Bureau Credit Monitoring. I was asked to call for identity verification. I called myFico folks and CSR said that I don't have a score with Equifax that's why I was asked to call in . I explained her my oldest account is 5+ years old and I have been in Equifax system since 2001. She said call Equifax to see what's going on. What should I do? How should I resolve this issue so I could get 3-Bureau Credit Monitoring on this site.
It's highly unlikely but you could have a split file, which happens when there's too much data. Especially if you soft pull your own report, Equifax fills up with softs and can lock you and creditors out or sometimes split the file which is a nightmare to resolve. Call them and run a SSN check to see if you have muiltiple files.

I have credit monitoring through Equifax and it shows me only 1 file each time I pull a copy. I will try calling them to make sure. Do you know which phone number should I call?
You won't be able to see if you have multiple files online, the only way to know is if it cannot find any file or your accessible file has missing inquiries, accounts and other data. Since you have a paid EQ monitoring service, call the number provided and they will direct you to the right dept. This beats standard support lines since the paid customers seem to get faster service.
Sounds good. Thanks for your help.

Be careful relying on forum posting as an indicator like that. On any forum site for any topic people only post when they have problems which skews the data.
