On 6/8 I received an email from myFICO saying "Your annual subscription to Score Watch(R) will expire in 11 days" and "We were unable to automatically renew your subscription to Score Watch® because the payment information associated with your account is out of date" and "Please update your payment information within 11 days. If we do not hear from you on or before 6/19/2010, your subscription will be cancelled".
I did not want the service to renew because I was not spending ANY money on non-essentials until I get control of my huge debt from finishing off my divorce.
The next day I had business problems because my BofA Business CC was declined. When I called BofA, they had cancelled my CC due to Fraud. They explained that myFICO kept guessing at the expiration date for the charge. BofA then reviewed my accounts.
After spending some time with BofA on the phone, I'm left with both BofA cards near their limit and the third that was under review cancelled.
Today, I get an email from myFICO saying that they successfully renewed my annual subscription. They continued to guess at the expiration date until they got it right. Of course they didn't have the new CVV code.
I understand that it is not myFICO's problem that my finances are temporarily in a fragile state but they have now created a much larger problem for me.
