I have ordered myFICO reports from time to time with no problems. However, last night I experienced several. 1) I ordered my TransUnion report. To do this, I selected all 3 credit bureau reports and removed the Equifax and Experian reports. After I got my shopping cart down to the TransUnion report, I checked out, and as I did so, I noticed Score Watch at $119 had made its way into the cart.
I tend to think of myFICO as a legitimate company, but obviously this is shady territory. Two other problems with the website lead me to believe that the site is experiencing problems. 2) When I try to fulfill the order clearly labeled as TransUnion report, last night the next screen displayed an error message that there was a block on my Equifax report. Today, I clicked on "Fulfill" for the TransUnion report, I received a different error page. I would say what this was, but I can't remember, and now in my Member Center, I don't see the line items to "Fulfill."
Also, 3) I received an email that my identity requires verification and I need to call Customer Support. (at no point in the process did I fail to login correctly).
So, three or four software problems with the site, and I need to call Customer Support. I tried calling this morning and gave up after 10 or 15 minutes on hold. I assume this is because of website problems and that Customer Support is in demand.
On the face of it, I'm being frauded out of $119, although I'm hoping I can eventually reach Customer Support and resolve the situation. I'm hoping myFICO turns out to be incompetent more than fraudulent. However, incompetence isn't a warm and fuzzy attribute for a personal finance company either.
I've left an email to Contact Us, but I believe the support reps are very well protected, and I don't expect to hear back.
