MyFICO customer service requesting full SSN to access account
What's the deal with this? The CSR ask for your full SSN and DOB and address just to access your account. I just gave it to them but then later it was still bothering me so I asked a supervisor (who was full of that charming CSR attitude) why that was the case and she tells me that they by default ask for the full SSN and if the customer balks, then they can simply pull it up using name and last 4 digits of SSN.
What the F MyFICO? Why ask for the full SSN when you can easily pull up the account by last 4? Just ridiculous.
Just beware when you call MyFICO (and this was just to cancel my quarterly monitoring, which itself is ridiculous to make people call in just to do that) you DO NOT NEED TO GIVE THEM YOUR FULL SSN.
