I've been a subscriber for some time now although I haven't been using the service after my first year. So, basically I have been wasting $504 annually (I can't recall the last time I reviewed my report) and decided to cancel once I saw the myFICO charge. Unfortunately it was on a weekend so I couldn't reach anyone. I contacted them on Monday morning and they would not reverse or credit the charge. I spoke with a manager and they said the same thing. I have seen many complaints about this same issue and this company doesn't realize that this ongoing issue should be addressed. I know members of this forum are going to chime in to state the obvious "you have all month to cancel blah blah" however, some of us have busy lives and do not live on MyFICO. 100% of other companies that provide subscriptions will honor a refund so, this only lets me know that myFICO is shady and I am glad that I'm canceling. I informed the supervisor that I will dispute the charge and he stated that if they receive a charge-back then they will lock my account! I honestly don't care to deal with a company like this. And maybe some of you should consider the same!
Thanks all!
I don't subscribe to myFICO so have no direct experience, but I have a variety of things that autorenew periodically (streaming services, Sirius radio, domain names, Costco membership, credit card annual fees, etc.) and my expectation with any of them is that I need to cancel before they bill me if I don't want to pay.
