I purchased the "FICO® 3-Bureau Credit Monitoring" on Feb. 3rd, 2015. I no longer feel it necessary to pay for this service, since there are others out there that do a better job of monitoring/notifying, etc. So I called to cancel on May 3rd and was told my card would no longer be charged - however I didn't recieve an email notification, telling me my subscription was canceled. I still receive certain "alerts" via email, which I find odd, since I no longer have a subscription. Today, I logged onto my credit card account, which is the card on file that was used to make the purchase in February, and there's a $1 from MyFico.com. I call MyFico, their explanation was..."I see where you called to cancel, but we don't see any charges coming out today, not sure what else we can do"...so I state (out of irritation) "I'm sure my bank isn't making up the charge"! Then I ask, "how can I remove my card from your system so that you can't randomly charge my credit card?"......Their response...."I'm not sure, I'll have to escalate it".... Uhhhh.....OK? So, as soon as I hang up the phone, I get an email from MyFico, "Your myFico Cancellation has been processed - This is to confirm your cancellation of FICO® 3-Bureau Credit Monitoring. You will not receive any additional charges related to this product". Strange?! I called to cancel 2 weeks ago!
Can anyone shed some light or give advice? Has anyone sucessfully removed a Credit card from their account?
