I had balances on all credit cards, small ones but they were there. My score from previously 750ish went all the way down to 730ish. Then, I let report zero on a few of my cards and no scorewatch alert despite having set the target score one point above the previously reported score. Nothing! I pulled my power score report, and low and behold, my score went back up in the 760s as all of my new accounts turned a half year.
So, now I have almost all of my cards reporting zero. With that there should be a score watch alert. But nothing. Kind of disappointing.
I've had my useful moments with score watch but not so any longer. I've cancelled my subscription.

Hi wollepopolle,
Sorry to hear you weren't satisfied with Score Watch. Just curious, do you or are you going to use any other monitoring services that provide you with quicker alerts to score changes? If so, I'd be interested in hearing what you've found.
As I'm sure you've read here, it can take up to 10 days from the date of the change to receive as score change alert. So, if you were looking for an immediate alert to every score change, it sounds like Score Watch wasn't right for you.

Hello Barry,
I've been a score watch member on and off for six months total. I've always and often received score watch alerts that were caused by slight jumps in my score mainly due to balance increases and decreases. Score watch worked really nicely and swiftly. I base my disappointment of the last month on what I perceive to be a different "behavior" of score watch lately. It seems that others have reported the same. But what do I know... I am just an observing customer.I am sure that there is always a formal reason to "explain" why score watch didn't do this and that. I've had two more cards report zero and wanted to find out what my ceiling would be with my current credit reports. Score watch just doesn't pick up on it currently, not one day later, not ten days later. Makes no difference. All I receive currently is the weekly "There were no changes to your score" emails. And that just wasn't true the last time when I pulled my remaining power report and saw a change of almost 30 points.
Why wasn't score watch right for me?
And no, I don't use any other score monitoring services.
fwiw (not much) Scorewatch is still trudging along for me, with updates within 7 days of when something hits my EQ report, usually within a day or two. (I have EQ Gold, so I know when stuff hits.) But I've also gone through dry periods where it seemed like nothing happened at all.
I feel your frustration. I guess you've gone through all the bit about resetting your target score and your e-mail addy and all, right?
Lol, just got a score watch update. I hit 769.
Maybe it was just a dry patch.
Anyway, I am not saying that I am unhappy with score watch. It worked well and it seems to work again. I think I know where I am credit score wise, hence I am cancelling as I don't get much benefit from seeing my score go up and down a little.
Thanks Barry and HTSU for your repsonses.
Grats on the score!
I know what you mean --at first when I started getting interested in my credit and working on this, that, and the other, I was getting alerts all the time.
Now I still get maybe 3 a month, but they're never for score changes any more. Just a balance increase or some other piddle-squat thing that doesn't actually change my score. Mind you, if it's going to be flat-lined, I'm happy to have it flat-lining at the current score! Sure beats 590 or wherever I started. ![]()
