Re: So you think Score Watch is working - prove it to me

It would be great if MyFico set up a Beta test program which would take data from a copy of our EQ  report, allow us to simulate changes to the CR and test Score Watch out.

I would be happy to help Beta test and write a detailed report up.

Re: So you think Score Watch is working - prove it to me

I'm glad I'm not the only one. My last update from SW was on May 24th for a balance increase. Since then, according to TrueCredit, I've had 2 balances go to 0, one revolving account close, and one installment account open. Not to mention 4 inquires.

Starting Score: 556
Current Score: 672, 681, 692
Goal Score: 700, 700, 700

Re: So you think Score Watch is working - prove it to me

I'm not getting any updates either.  My last score says "As of May 25th".  Isn't it supposed to be updating even if I didn't have alerts?  I set alerts for EVERYTHING and I just set my alert for my actual score, as someone mentioned.

This is NOT good.  I'm paying for a service that is not doing one thing.

Re: So you think Score Watch is working - prove it to me

I was going to dump True Credit at the end of the month since my util will be low enough as to have no more affect on my score and just rely on SW to protect me but I am having second thoughts now.

To be honest if it wasnt for the fact you can pull your CR daily with True Credit, I wouldn't have it either.  Bugs with the display when you click on more info about the account and useless score and analysis.

Iguess in some way Score Watch is forcing people to rely on a backup service so I guess True Credit owes MyFico a beer.

I wonder how many MyFico employees use True Credit.  Imagine the scandal if that got out.  Inquiring minds want to know.

Re: So you think Score Watch is working - prove it to me

I've had Score Watch since May 28th, 2008. On May 29th I got my first, and only, automatic alert (it was for a new account). I have Score Watch set to notify me if my FICO goes up by 3 points.

I have TrueCredit (check daily), MYFICO Score Watch, and Equifax Score Watch (got it free for a month)

On June 5th I had 5 student loan accounts that were reporting as loan type "unknown" report as "student loan" (the result of my dispute). Neither Score Watch updated that day or the next so I used my free additional Score Watch update on Equifax. My FICO score had went from 673 to 703!

Just this morning I got an update on the Equifax Score Watch, but not the MyFico Score Watch.

It seems their service is not only inconsistent, but different results are provided between Myfico Score Watch and Equifax Score Watch.

Re: So you think Score Watch is working - prove it to me

Dw got an alert today - balance increase and score increase.

The balance increase triggered the score pull, the score went up because of a balance decrease earlier this week (balance decreases do not trigger alerts)

I expect I will get one soon!

Pfft. I got an "update" stating that a change had been made to a public record (we have a paid tax lien that should have at least updated to "paid" or been deleted entirely) ... when we logged in, there was no credit alert in the public record category!!

So stupid me waited a few days, got disgusted and bought ANOTHER SR to see what the deal was with the PR. Guess what? NOTHING!!! ARGH!!!!

So did SW update/credit alert e-mail lie?? Or was it just drunk???

Re: So you think Score Watch is working - prove it to me

I called them after pulling my Equifax and find that I had a jump from 718 to 731 with no alert. I spoke to a really nice guy.  While he didn't give me much in way of WHEN they would resolve the problem, he did acknowledge that there IS a problem and they  have been working on it. He said he hoped it would be resolved soon. I let him know that it's been noticed by some for a few months now.

He did offer me a free scorewatch report since I had used up my last one to get my updated status. That is good for this month, but if it's not working by next month, I guess I'll dump scorewatch like some others have.
