Waiting for ScoreWatch Activity

I bought Scorewatch on 12.8.09. I could not afford it, but am desperate to clean up my credit, which is a requirement to keep my job. Right after I signed up they did the survey on here and said I could get 25% off. I was about 1-2 days too late. And since I have to have this 3 months, it will be too late then to sign up.

So, I took all the advice about setting Scorewatch to my present score. Since I got my report ( I wish I could have chosen when to get it, because I was not ready yet to use my free report. Anyway, since then I have received absolutely nothing. I know I don't get a report when things fall off, must when something on my report causes my score to change.

Since then, this is the activity taking place, yet nothing has caused my score to change. I got 5 of my 120 lates taken off, but that might have happened right after I signed up or the same day. I have been disputing things by writing to the CA's, and a CRA. I added to my Best Buy balance of $#50, to bring it up to $500, and that happened right before I signed up, and it said it was a good thing that increased my score. Then I took it back, but it has not yet affected my score, maybe when they report, it will?

The beginning of last week I had an inquiry from my bank pulling to give me a new secured card, and they report. I put the money on it yesterday and they made a balance of $700, so I really should have some activing showing soon, I hope. I do understand that if I pull a report, then it won't show me a change on scorewatch, so I don't want to do that.

Sorry about the unfortunate timing causing you to miss out on that discount. We've refunded your first month's payment and added a couple of EQ reports to help make up for it. All I can say is hang in there and you should start getting alerts once more activity takes place on your credit file. Keep in mind that you're only alerted after EQ reports a particular change and that it's not unusual for your score to remain the same in spite of losing numerous baddies. Good luck!

Re: Waiting for ScoreWatch Activity

Barry, thanks, that was a very nice gesture. You said refunded, does that mean to my account from which the payment was made? I just opened a new one and closed the old one, but don't know which I used to pay for Scorewatch.

I'll just wait until January sometime to check it out and see what changes have taken place.

I guess I need to find a preferences section, or whatever it is called, to see when payment comes out of my account and which account.

I have been spending tons of hours and many weeks studying credit repair, then wrote about 5 letters. I can see that 3 have been received, so far, but it is so dissappointing to not be getting anywhere yet. Or, rather, no measureable results.  I've also made several phone calls. I guess I might be hoping too much. I want SO much to get it cleaned up by Feb so I can hopefully buy a house. I eat, sleep, and dream a house, but in reality, it may never happen. It must happen in time to get the tax credit, or I can't do it later. I need the credit yo go get my household in AR, so I can stop paying storage and pay it on a mortgage.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Re: Waiting for ScoreWatch Activity

Ok found the refund email. Also got a ScoreWatch email stating score raised. I kept checking the first page of SW to see a score change, yet it does not show up there. I got a 2 pt raise, and would not have known it but for the email. I wonder why id does not change my front page. I'm sleepy, hope this makes sense.

They don't change the front page any longer. You have to click through your ScoreWatch account each time you log on to see your latest score.

Don't know who made that change...but it sure is a pain.
