Why isnt the Score Watch reacting to change.

I had some balances paid down, and collections removed from my account(which I may add I received the letters in the mail stating that it would be deleted from my account.)  My score went up but the score watch never alerted me, what happend?

The only thing I can think of is what is your alert number set at. Other than that nothing comes to mind. Of course I'm pretty new around here.LOL

Re: Why isnt the Score Watch reacting to change.

Baddies were removed about two weeks ago.  I did it so that if any changes were to happen or if my score changed it was suppoed to let me know.  In the beginning when I had a dispute going on it did work!

Re: Why isnt the Score Watch reacting to change.

SW won't give you a credit alert you to dropped balances or removed baddies, only balance increases or added accounts. However, SW will also monitor your EQ FICO score every 7 days or so provided there are no alerts. So, if your target score found in your Settings is hit or exceeded then you'll get a score alert when your EQ FICO score is monitored next.

Do you know which day the baddies were removed off EQ? I would have guessed an alert 7 days starting from that point at the latest. What kind of baddies were they? I've lost points when removing old COs due to the history loss. Always make sure your current score is exactly the same as your target score. When I first started with SW I set my target score too high into the 700s. My starting EQ FICO was around 550 and took me a while to figure out why I wasn't getting any score alerts.

Re: Why isnt the Score Watch reacting to change.

The were removal of a old past due credit line, one is now showing including in my credit, and the removal of two collections.  So to make sure if your score goes up or down it wont alert you?
