You should have 'contests' and award free reports as prizes*.

Great idea, Rebuilding101! Let's do it!

How about some contest ideas? A free report will go to the person who comes up with a contest idea that gets used and to the contest winner. (and yes, including one for you, Rebuilding.)

Caught that did ya? Always read the fine print I say, lol.

So I couldn't think of anything in particular or I would have suggested something in my first post. Most other forums deal directly with a product, and while myFico is a product, it seems a little harder to be objective.

For example, I was thinking, on Book/Movie Forums there are reviews of new releases, so maybe we could review credit card companies by customer service, or products, like "Best Rewards Cards Comparison Review". Then I also thought that that might get the owners of this place into some legal issues, so maybe that's not a good idea.

So then I thought about those artistic forums, like photography and such, and thought, what about a 'Best representation of your credit score on Film" but that just sounded dumb.

So then I thought about the weight loss forums, and thought what about a 'Biggest Winner (<-play on Biggest Loser tv show) Success Story" contest.

But none of my ideas sounded good, so I just did a one sentence posts hoping someone else would be more creative

I've posted this before I believe, but negative motivation works well too. Dock everyone 100 points on EQ and TU and make it a motivator to get those points back by contributing on these forums. If you post 100 quality posts, like yours, you get all 100 points back and then some as participation continues. I'm only kidding of course...haulingthescoreup's or fused's score would be 1,742 and beyond within a month.

Another thought came to me today to have myFICO offer gift cards for pulls, services, etc. Offer fundraisers for various events by contributing towards events like school auctions. Or offer as a gift card and then market them to realtors, bankers, etc. as an incentive for new customers.

What about a FicoForums scavenger hunt? It could be for newbies, oldtimers, and lurkers (myself included ) alike. Questions could be asked that would force the member to go find the answers in the forum. It could be both fun and informative at the same time.

If the free score people get to chose which is updated, my choice is TU (being as I spent almost twice as much on getting those scores. Darn quarterly monitoring not being able to get updated scores as they happen like Score watch! *fist shake*)

Sorry for not replying earlier, Rebuilding101. Unfortunately, there are a number of business reasons preventing such features from FICO Quarterly Monitoring. I too wish it could update like SW does, but....

I meant the contest and free scores to winners thing never took off, what the thread was originally about and what not.
