  Can't PC the card.  Don't expect that you're at risk of having the card closed if you migrate your wireless service to a different carrier.   If the card remains idle long enogh they'll almost certainly CLD it down to a $524 or $1024 CL  - the ending in $24 is the tipoff that there was a CLD made due to lack of use - although there's a decent chance of success in getting the limit restored by calling in and asking to get it restored. IIRC the official conversion from a "Sears thankyou from Citi" to just "thankyou from Citi" is supposed to happen next month with new cards being mailed in June.  The spalsh page confirming the offer acceptance had small icons for both the current and upcoming card side by side on it.   I can meet the $1K threshold but it would have to be a month of extrordinary organic grocery spend and/or a lot of gift cards to meet the $2K threshold, and while  I'm not adverse to adding a gift card if needed when grocery shopping in a slow month I have to be mindful that my preferred supermarkets have a $100 cap on gift card purchases per transaction. ...   While I got a bonus gas/grocery/restaurant promotional offer for the entire 2024 calendar year on my Sears TYP card  I did not get an offer for 2025...until today.   Same format as last years offer,  but starting on April 1  through December 31 earn 10,000 bonus TYP each month with $1K gas/grocery/restaurant spend, 20,000 bonus TYP on $2K spend. The offer references my CL on the card as of 2/20/25.   Bottom line, given the past history of equivalent or nearly-eqivalent offers being extended across the Sears TYP and SYW cards  if you didn't get an offeri in December for all of 2025  there's hope you might get still get one in the next couple of days that extends  through the end of this year regardless of which card you hold.           ...   The process is a bit different if you're using a browser vs mobile app and it isn't hard once you figure it out,  it just isn't all that intuitive.   @ptatohed  If you log in using a browser, after logging in from the top of the splash page select "Cards" and then after the page change click on the card you want.   That will bring you to a Card Management page, and if you scroll down to just under Card Benefits you'll see "Member Deals" and if you look to the right you'll see a hypertext that says something like "Go to Member Deals", if you click on that there will be a new tab that brings up the MemberDeals section.   From the mobile app  (at least for an iPhone, I assume it's essentially the same for Android) after logging in on the bottom right select "Cards",  select the card you want, scroll down and select "Member Deals", and you'll end up in the MemberDeals section,  The look and feel between browser vs. mobile app is nearly identical once you get to the "Cards" page.   ... Double check and confirm that the CU whose branch you use to make the in-person transactions is an NCUA member institution.   Semi-brief and rough synopsis that barely even manages to scratch the surface of the topic and is admittedly in some areas overly broad:   Federal laws require that NCUA (and FDIC) member institutions generate and document a wide series of controls that remain as living documents.   The internal procedures that a member CU follows are generated and based upon being consistent with these controls, and the procedures and controls themselves are audited by a government agency known as the FFIEC (Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council) to confirm that they conform with reqirements or best practices as appropriate at an industry standard or general level, and during each FFIEC on-premise audit (these are NON-trivial btw) they are able to positively demonstrate that adequate controls exist and that they are being followed.   This is often coordinated by whichever group is performing the business Information Security role guided by whomever has or is performing the role of the CISO (Chief Information Security Officer).   Now that I've managed to glaze your eyes over,  more to the point the CU is specifically required to assess risks regarding customer data and put in place appropriate security measures to mitigate these risks.  When it comes to paper the CU should have multiple procedures in place to address potential risks of using transaction sheets including requiring them to be properly secured in locked containers when not immediately in use and when no longer needed promply placed in specially marked locked bins whose containers are regularly taken to have content shredded either by specifically authorized employees or a properly vetted 3rd party.     TL;DR the risks can't be eliminated, but as a NCUA member institution the CU would have been compelled to make a serious attempt to define them and meaningful procedures would be in place to mitigate, and confirm the mitigation, of these risks.   Not to infer that a non-member institution wouldn't have done it, only that the NCUA would have required them to do it if they didn't want to get an Unsatisfactory rating as the outcome of an audit. ... Credit Journey provides Vantage V3.0 scores, which nobody (at least nobody that really matters, including Chase) uses to make credit decisions and having a 30 point discrepancy between ones FICO 8 and Vantage 3.0 scores isn't unusual.     Chase is also pretty agnostic as to whether or not you already have a checking account with them when you apply for their credit cards, but the number, age, and type of dirty entries on your credit profile matter quite a bit.   What are the derogatories on your credit reports and how old are they?   First and foremost do you have a BK still reporting?     ... CARD act requires the SL on a new card be at least 4X the 1st year's annual fee, and back when the Delta Reserve's AF was $550  it was fairly common understanding that AMEX' positioning was for new cards to be issued with a starting limit off at least $3100.   I think you already understand this, but the rule of thumb with AMEX is that while the reasons for why a score is what it is are very relevant it's possible to get an approval with an EX FICO 8 score somewhere around 650+/-  but odds increase even for premium cards at the 680/690 threshold.   Given that AMEX currently does not hard pull unless an approval is made and accepted the biggest risk is I think probably the 90 day wait before you become eligible again for them consider approving a subsequent application if you got a credit-based denial.   If OP gets an approval and doesn't like the limit extended they can just reject the offer and the world at large will never know.   ...   Experian FICO 8 is the score you need to be most interested in, general rule of thumb with AMEX is that odds of approval go up starting at around the 680-690 range. 1 card at 50% shouldn't be a deal breaker,  worst case is that you could recon on denial and be prepared to explain the 50% utilization is due to you leveraging a 0% promotional offer to buy furniture.   An inquiry showing from 3 months ago and another 6 months ago shouldn't be a dealbreaker either.   Nowadays AMEX makes credit decisions based upon a soft pull and either extends an approval offer or a denial. If husband does not currently have any cards issued by American Express and your husband accepts an approval offer there will be a hard pull recorded, if he rejects the approval offer there is no hard pull.   A 2017 BK would be a minimal to non-issue as long as American Express was not IIB.  If they were included in the BK7 things get more complicated, it's stil possible to get an approval 8 years out but the amount of time before being removed from their internal blacklist varies and is based on the individual's specific circumstances related to the IIB. ...
