They are my FICO scores. My mortgage scores are as follows: Experian Fico Score 2: 614 TransUnion Fico Score 4: 543 Equifax Fico Score 5: 590 Not sure why there's a wide difference between the 3. Or which they use.

I'm told... And have yet to determine if this is true- that under 30% is where you want to be. Which- hopefully I will be in the next 30 days. My score calculator says people with the highest scores are under 10%. :) which would be nice because I'd have less monthly bills! :)

Thanks for the answers. Yes, they are reporting- I'm seeing them as they come in. It's just not moving. I agree, I must not have hit that threshold to bump yet.. Just did my morning check. No change still. :) And so this has been 30 days of paid down debt with no bumps. I will be paying my CC even more down on the 30th when I get another bonus. This will take me below the 30% utilization rate. Hopefully that bumps me. Maybe that's the magic number. I did check my ratings yesterday at they say: Credit mix: Exceptional Credit Utilization: Poor (52% utilization) Credit Length (Exceptional- over 10 years) Derogatory Marks Fair (2- 3+ years old) Credit Inquiries (Poor- I went on a CC spree in September so I think that's it) So besides the CC utilization- the inquiries seem to be hitting me the hardest. But those only make up 10% of score so I would imagine wouldn't stop my score from bumping. That being said- I'm NOT applying for ANYTHING for the next while. haha

Thanks for the responses. The only other "baddies" I have on my report are two collections- one 3 years old and one 5 years old. I did have a few credit pulls which could be bringing it down. But would that be enough to see NO progress? I also have student loan (65K) but ALL on-time payments for 6 years. and a Winnebago note (16K) but again NEVER been late in the year I've had it. So it's strange Maybe I'm just being impatient. :) I get my credit scores right from this sight, using the notifications/credit reports. I believe these are FICO's and not FAKO's correct? thanks all!

Hi All, I am trying to improve my credit score to make a home purchase. Currently my score is at 589. My biggest "baddie" were my CC utilization scores. two months ago I had almost maxed out everything.. About 17K in debt. After reading the forums I learned the quickest way to impove score is to pay these down below 30% utilization and thanks to a bonus at work- I am now down to 8K.. So I am watching as the CC's report (I know which days they come in)... AND NOTHING. NOT ONE POINT GAIN. I mean, **bleep**!?!?!? So, I plan on paying these even further down this month. But I don't get it! The score calculator says I should have about a 70 point gain. What am I missing here? Thanks!

Thank you! yes, I googled the loan limits and single family in my area caps out at $493 for 2017. I am in Denver, CO. My other bills would fall WAY below the $3500 line you mentioned. More like $2000 range. I appreciate the help! :)

Hello, Thanks for reading. I am looking for some info on what I may be possibly approved for as it relates to a first time home purchase. Currently- my income is about 170,000 a year. I have 65K in student loanss 5K in CC debt 20K car note and 15K Winnebago note I am looking to purchase in the $450K range. Utilyzing an FHA loan. Will I be approved for that amount? Thank you,

You all are so helpful. thank you! We did sit down this weekend and I got him set up on auto bill pay through his bank. He wasn't doing that at all. He also agreed to sit back down every payday and look at what needs to be paid and go through it together. He admits that he got behind and does want help getting back on track. So that willingness does make me feel better. I have also agreed (as I make more money) to pay a bit more into our joint bills so he can get back on track and aligned again. I think I freaked out because I remember how many issues I had getting credit when I had bad credit and I don't want to marry into that! I think we need to spend more time being open about finances/bills and like you all said, be positive about it rather than negative and also educate him a bit more on credit impact.

Hello All, Been on this forum for a few years and have really started to clean up my credit! Still some work to do but am in a WAY better position than I was 3 years ago. Fast forward to now- I am engaged to a fantastic guy who owns his own house, and has his own car with financing so has to have some knowledge of credit right? Last night- I found out he hasn't paid his mortgage in two months. This is the 3rd time I've had to have a conversation about the importance of bills being paid on time, as now it affects BOTH of us. He didn't tell me he was behind, and that is also a big issue for me, as I do make more money and would have helped out. Which he knows. I know that he makes just enough to cover bills and a has just a little bit of dispoable income after, so I just don't know if I should be making a huge deal about this as I am, or if I should just make an effort to sit down with him twice a month to get him on track. He is contrite, feels terrible, and has an awful day with my being upset with him. But I can't help feeling frustrated and also like I'm babysitting. Any married couples want to weigh in?!?!?

I've owned 2 Nissans, both purchased brand new and haven't been late on a car payment EVER. My lower credit score is due to missed CC payments and stupid mistakes. Most recent late or negative addition was over a year ago. I'm enjoying watching my score go up! ha! :) One more question if you don't mind. In a previous response you mentioned Tier 1, and Tier 2 pricing. Am I still in subprime category if I finance instead of lease? What kind of interest rate do you think I should expect with a 625-635 score? Thanks again!

I hope I can jump in and get an answer late in the game here! Current score: EQ 625 TU 635 AND GROWING :) Watching like a hawk these days. Take home pay AFTER taxes monthly is $6500 Currently own a 2011 Nissan Juke looking to LEASE if possible. (I travel a ton for work so if I can get an attractive lease offer that works nicely for me as I won't go over mileage restrictions) Question: With my score will I qualify for a lease? What is an auto enhanced score? Do all dealers use that? I am open to financing as well- but would prefer to lease is possible. What are your thoughts? Thanks!

I tried to do that. I am with ACS and they told me I could not. The gentleman was adament on phone that you cannot pay principle before interest. That ALL payments go to interest first, and the remainder goes to principle. And since you can't pay interest early, you have to wait until the day after a statement to apply anything to principle. So I've been playing that game for a while, but only small amounts are going to principle. It's awful. It's a complete scam- I should have the option to pay principle only if my monthly payment has already been paid. But they don't allow it.

Student Loan Team, I've been learning so much from you all about repayment of my loans. Quick question on Student Loan Forgivness. My loans were taken out BEFORE the new Obama 20 year plan. Does this mean that after 25 years of on-time payments the remainder of my loans are forgiven? And do I need to officially signup somewhere for that program or is it just automatic? I keep seeing IBR plans for this. I am not on an IBR and am lucky enough to just make standard payments. do I need to be on an IBR to qualify for the 25 year forgiveness program? Thanks so much in advance!

Hi all, Thank you for your assistance on my last inquiry. I did recieve word on daily interest accrual.. Which is at a whopping $13.76 A DAY!!!! Long story short- I have $73,649.53 in student loan debt. All has been consolidated with a 6.75% interest rate. Currently I am in PREPAID status, as I have been sending extra money every month. I feel like all the extra payments are barely pushing the needle however! My question is this- HOW do I pay this off in the fastest way possible? How much a month do I need to send to pay of in 10 years. 5 years? What's a good plan? Or at least put a good dent in it! This is a huge elephant on my back! Thank you,

Hi All, I'm hoping you can help me. I currently have a student loan with ACS. This is paid as agreed and I actually send additional money against the loan every month. That's where my question comes in. After I pay my scheduled student loan payment shouldn't anything additional be applied to the principle? This month I sent an additional $300. When I went back and looked at my account I noticed that $139.84 was applied to INTEREST and $160.16 was to PRINCIPLE. I sent an email requesting information as I would like ALL additional to be applied to principle. I recieved an email back stating that interest accrues daily and that is why the $139.84 went to interest. I sent a 2nd email stating that there is NO WAY $139.84 is THREE DAYS worth of interest. And asked them again to advise. Do any of you have expereince with this? Is there a way to ensure that additional payments get sent to principle only? I am trying my best to pay this down as fast as I can. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Hi all, Still on this credit journey! Question- I recently got a new car loan and my old one with Nissan was paid off and closed out (I traded in for another Nissan) I have some late payments on the old loan. Hi everyone.. So not often do any of us have decent news in regards to our student loans- so I had to share mine.. I have been in deferment and JUST MADE MY LAST DEFERMENT PAYMENT last month.. 4 days later- my job laid me off.. I was extraordinarily concerned because if my student loan was not picked up by another lender I couldn't defer even though I had paid all my rehab payments..(430 a month for 9 months!!) So today I called- not only did my loan get picked up by another lender- but this lender put me on unemployment deferment! YAY! This will hold me over and hopefully I will have a job soon and be able to pick up on those loans.. AND NEVER BE LATE AGAIN! So those bad marks will disappear within 60 days and hopefully my credit score will see a jump.. Anyone have an idea how much?? So yes, I am still down because I am unemployed- but at least this is a little bit of a blessing..

Hi all, This month marks my 9th rehab payment! YAY!!! So now what?? Do I need to call them- or do they adutomatically submit for a bank to buy my loan? I want to make sure I do this right so I can GET OUT of this rehab situation and hopefully have lower payments.

Unfortunately my apartment is not nationally owned. I googled this problem- and it says to look at sites like craigslist as perhaps there are complexes that don't check credit. Its amazing to me- that I have ALWAYS paid rent on time and now have this problem. It's even more frightening that I need to move across country and may not have options!

Hi all, Like so many I have bad credit and am in the process of rebuilding. no lates and collections for over a year now! I make good money at my job and am now being asked to relocate to Virginia. Here is my HUGE problem. What happens when I get turned down for an apartment due to my credit? This happened to me in Denver- just this past June. I had to have a co-signer and have not been late EVER on rent. Is there a site or something that posts apartments that don't do hard pulls? any advice?? Thanks,

Hi All, I am not writing for myself today but for a friend of mine. He is looking to ask his girlfriend of 2 years to marry him. Right now his credit sits at 590 with no other open tradelines. He has a few baddies but one is set to fall off soon. I have read here that Kay Jewelers gives people credit with these kinds of scores. If he goes into the store to apply-do you guys think he will be approved for anything? Any experience with this? Oh and dont worry-I have directed him to this site-and given him some tips I have learned on managing credit! :) Thanks!

Ha! I have First Premier and when I asked them for a CLI they denied me! But they were more than happy to offer a second card with more fees of course. I hated to do it-but I did because I have seen increases in my score from the first card. I just keep telling myself I AM REBUILDING and as soon as I have enough I will scrap the FP card.
