Apparently Target Visas no longer accept CLI requests. I just called the number on the back of my card since it has been 2 years since my last CLI (I requested one via the automated system and my CL went from $500 to $1000). There used to be an option to "request a CLI". Now there is an option to "hear our CLI policy". It said something like "TNB is no longer offering CLIs on our credit cards"!! I wonder if that means no CLIs at all or just no consumer requested ones? Any body know anything?

You're not going to get a CLI anytime soon. They are in CLD mode. Target Financial Services has never been good and they are now terrible. There must be something they know about their own customers that they don't like...

Store credit is a conflict of interest. On the one hand they like to issue credit in order to boost store sales and profits...but then this in turn can create an unprofitable finance company which defeats the other.
Sears Financial went through similar issues. They had to get rid of Discover and outsource their store cards.....seems like most Dept Stores cannot manage both sides.
Nordstrom seems to be the exception to this rule.
