Got Some Love From Cap 1

Hey Guys,

I called CAP 1 today to find out when my introductory 0% APR would be ending. I typically carry a balance on that card because of the 0% APR and I dont want to miss time my payment and get hit with a finace charge. I also asked would there be a pull of my credit report if I asked for a CLI. He said no and that all CLI are based on my payment & usage history, market conditions and business climate (blah blah blah). I tild him that I would like to aply for an increase. He asked what would I be using the increase for. I said a refriderator 9which is only a 1/2 untruth). After a few minutes he can back and advised me that I was approved for another 500 bucks. I know its not much. But it sure feels good to get approved.

Wow!! What is happening at Cap1? I decided to call also because I received a 1.99% balance transfer offer, but I have a low limit. The rep asked what could he do for me. I told him I wanted to ask for a credit line increase so I can take extra advantage of my 1.99%. He asked me did how much more would I like. I said I need atleast $2,500.00. He said he could increase my limit by $5,000!! It will be available in 3 days he told me.

That phone number goes to "Joe and Heather" and I left a message asking for money, but they denied me!! DOH!

I called and no love from Cap1 on the CLI, however they *did* lower my interest rate from 15.9% to 12.9%.

Better than nothing I guess. I hope she didn't hard inq me...

15.9% to 12.9% isn't bad at all. Congrats!

I asked the CR who took care of me if he was doing a soft or hard inquiry

and he stated he wasn't doing a new application. So there shouldn't be any

inquiries in your case either.

Hey how'd you get that increase!!! Lol!! How long have you had your card? I'll admit I just got number 4 since opening in Jan but they have all been piddly, this latest only 300.00 the lowest of all. I want 5k too!!!!!

Hi Brammy!

I just called and asked for it!! I really didn't think I would get that

much. I read on another forum where this lady asked for an increase

and she received that much too. Now I must do a couple of balance

transfers because I told the CR that I needed an increase to do more

1.99% transfers LOL!!

I have been with Cap1 since 1990. I started out with the $500.00 limit.

LOL ain't that the truth!!

But he did right, I wouldn't

want that high of a credit limit with Cap1.
