4 weeks equals 4 years

4 years of careful money management – score increase of 54 points.

Playing the FICO game – increase of 69 points in 4 weeks

And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding

The inanity of the system is starting to amuse rather than annoy me.

And I always liked games  Smiley Very Happy

Just keep doin' what you're doin'.  I think many of them are based on history, so you simply have to let time go by until you have x number of TLs with y number of on-time payments, and baddies a thing of the not-so-recent past ...

I was fiscally responsible for 6 years and that has not changed

I got free credit reports in February and disputed everything disputable.  I got 3 full credit reports from here and redisputed everything that they had not removed, using some suggestions from here.  I checked who pulled which CRA reports for which cards and got 1 extra card from my highest score (which had least inqs) to triple my available credit.  I paid my CCs twice a month - 95% before the statement date, the rest after the statement (I love free on line banking and 24/7 access to CC status).  I became (am becoming) joint with my wife on everything good we have.  I avoided all unnecessary hard pulls like the devil.  I talked to people about how to what in the short and long term.

It took a lot of effort and time, but again, long term it will be worth it.

Stuff started trickling in, but nearly everything hit at once in late May, early June.  EX still hates me.
