APPROVING BANK: PenFed CU
BUREAU PULLED: EQ
CREDIT SCORE: 786
CUSTOMER STATE OF RESIDENCE: FL
NEW/USED: refi
YEAR OF VEHICLE: 2013
MAKE: BMW
MODEL: 535i
MILEAGE: 600 mi
RETAIL/LEASE: retail
AMOUNT OF LOAN: 40,000
TERM CONTRACTED: 60 months
APR/LEASE RATE: 1.49
MONTHLY PAYMENT: 692
ANNUAL INCOME: $120,000
MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: Was approved for new car loan by Penfed at 1.49% but had to go with dealer financing at 3.29% instead to qualify for $2,000.00 sales discount.  Went back to Penfed after the purchase and refinanced with the same terms of original approval and paid off dealer loan within 30 days.  Who says you can't have your cake and eat it too?  Penfed made it happen seamlessly and painlessly! Couldn't ask for better service.

APPROVING BANK: Hyundai Motor Finance
BUREAU PULLED: Dealership pulled all 3 and said they used the middle score which was Experian

AMOUNT OF LOAN:  $21,763.60
TERM CONTRACTED: 72
APR/LEASE RATE: 3.9%
MONTHLY PAYMENT: $340
ANNUAL INCOME: $22,000
MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY: WooHoo!!! finally get to post my own. I went searching 3 years ago for a new car with high DTI and a mid 600 score and the dealer at the time was horrible. Waited until my score was high enough for top tier and DTI was very low and applied at a good dealer near work. It was so easy to get approved. No paystubs required and i didn't even have to put a downpayment on it. They told me my history was good enough that they were okay with no money down. Decided to keep my $13K in savings in my pocket. I didn't want to get GAP coverage but since i put nothing down i had to get it. decided to also get some extra protectin plans from them that added a little onto the price...

~~In my wallet: Best Buy $7500, Dell Preferred $5500, Discover IT $4000, Chase Freedom $3500, Barclays NFL Extra Points $3300, Sears $2800, Bill Me Later $2100, CapOne Platinum $2000, Kohls $1500, Target $200

MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTARY:

Was going to buy a used Honda Civic. It was December 29th and decided, why not try Internet Sales from all the different dealers in my area just to see what would come up? My final budget for a car was $18,000 but a brand new Civic would be about 20K+ including every single fee. But, just for kicks, I gave it a shot. Lo and behold, 8 different dealers quoted me FAR below the price that was advertised on the websites. The winner offered me a brand spanking new 2012 Civic for $15,000, throwing in 5 oil changes, a remote starter, and a few other side things. End of the year sales rock. It ended up costing me about $16,028 including tags, titles, everything else... After the first month, I paid it off. I don't want to owe on a car, specially considering I would have had to spend on other things if I did. But I had to get "financed" to get the car that day. Oh wells! At least I saved about 4K.
