Car listed as charged off, not repoed

I had a car that was repossessed about 1.5 years ago. It's listed on as a charge-off on my TransUnion credit report. There's no mention of a repossession. Do I have to put "yes" on an apartment rental appplication that I had a repossession if it doesn't actually say it in my credit report?

I'd go ahead and come clean. If the trade line shows up as an auto loan on your credit report, it won't be too hard for them to put it together... If I were you, I would be upfront and let them know what was going on in your life at that point that led up to that situation and how things have changed and your in a better spot now....
