NFCU CC APP'ING

Ok so this morning when I woke I had an email from NFCU that officially welcomed me as a member. That email alone was as good an online app approval !     I applied for membership last saturday being sponsored by my sister and saw no reason to be denied. Anyway I am IN with NFCU.

Now my problem is I'm affraid to app for one of their CC's.  In October or Nov I will be app-ing NFCU for an Auto loan but I want one of there CC's to start building my limits.

I was disch Chap 7 in 07/14 with current Fico's of EQ 655 EX 645 TU 635   Since July I have Cap1 MC 1k limit,/ Credit first Visa 500 / Firestone 1200 / Comenity VS 500 / and AU on Disco 1500 & Citi AU 2300   A secured loan from a CU for 2k with 1300 balance.

Ive burned a few INQ being impatient, One for Disco and another from Wally. Ive read that NFCU isnt too concerned about INQ but the BK and recent successful account worry me when I app for a CC from NFCU.

What do you think my chances are, and if Im only offered secured, should I take it ? do they graduate ?  or should I just wait a while?   I also dont want to blow my chances on the auto loan,  So far Im on track for my rebuild with reasonable scores post BK. Although I have both MYFICO monitoring as well as EQ monitoring which is advertised as a true Fico as well.  How come my EQ product shows my EQ Fico at 611 while MYFICO has me at 655 ?   I absolutely hate that .

Anyway, I know many of you have a great deal of experience with NFCU. I feel so blessed being a part of their community. I hope some of you could take a moment and share. Thanks.

LOL  Ok, took your advice and pulled the trigger.  Got the 3 to 5 message  

Your credit card application has been submitted and is being reviewed. The normal processing time for a credit card application is 3-5 business days.

You may later check the status of your credit card application by simply clicking on the "Account Services" tab and then on the "Check Status of Pending Loan Application" link under the Lending Services section.

Now what ?

I sent them a message pleading my case. I hope youre right .   I'll be back to post results once I hear back from NFCU.  Thank you for the advice and confidance.

Don't send more messages until you hear back the first time... It's common with navy for 3-5, they are not I currently so morning at earliest

I think CA is a NFCU agent he already approved your application! If he says its approved its a done deal. Congrats!

Well folks I logged on to NFCU checked my messages and heres what I got . OMG I almost fell off the chair. CreditAddict I never doubted you for a minute . They didnt give a CL and Im curious about it but on the other hand I dont care. I know in time I'l have a proper limit.  Thanks for the advice. No way I can truly express how thankful I am for this site and the people that hang out here. What a rush.

Joedtx I think you're right because when I logged on to NFCU this morning I received this message. OMG I almost fell of the chair. What a rush !  CreditAdict I never doubted you for a minute   Thank you for the advice and confidance. I cant begin to express my gratitude for this site and the good people that hang out here. 

They didnt provide a CL but whatever it is Im grateful and I know before long, it will become my highest limit card. WOW.
