So before the new year rolled in I went on app spree to get new cards and enter the garden for at least a year. One of the cards I applied for was the Citi Double Cash card. I am trying to determine if I am blacklisted by them. My BK7 was discharged in 8/2009. Citi was included.
One of the reasons is: "A credit obligation related to a bankruptcy or financial counseling plan was recorded on your credit bureau report."
I would wait to reapply until after the BK is removed from your CR siince they specifically state that it was denied due to your BK being recorded on your credit bureau report. Did you burn them in the BK?

Yes.
Then that is your answer right there. You have to wait it out...
It'll be awhile before they let yo have a card. Did you repay them back or settle with them. Citi has a pretty long memory if you burned them, even after it drops from your CR.

Never waste a HP...Id recon that! Its been 5 yrs..they have a longer memory though than Chase or Amex, LOL..and actually...you could apply for the Delta Gold Amex (if you haven't tried already, and IF you didn't burn Amex in your BK). Word on the street is Amex is letting a few select peeps back in after 5 yrs post BK, and ONLY if you paid them back, or didn't burn them..
Pizza I did a recon through EO we shall see. I don't expect an approval however a surprise would not be a bad thing. If I am denied after recon I will wait until after BK falls off.

It is worth the try going through EO. I'd be surprised if it is an approval but definately keep us posted on results.

What if I had an old CBNA Gateway card that went to CO many years ago, I think $900? Would that be enough for a CITI blacklist?
