No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
Inquiries can register with the bureaus instantly and may be reported to new inquiries even seconds later.
Also note that more and more creditors are doing a soft inquiry 1-2 months after approval to make sure you're truly approved for the card. Some lenders, if they see a lot of new accounts from an app spree, may recall and cancel that credit line if you no longer meet their underwriting standards in a month due to new accounts, inquiries, overexposure, etc.

ABCD2199, so you're saying as soon as you apply for credit, it will register in the credit bureau instantly and the next creditor can see that inquiry even if it's seconds or minutes later?
It's possible, yes.
Some creditors may not even do a hard inquiry if you already have an account with them (Amex commonly does this). Others will do a hard pull the instant you click apply and they will get a full report including whatever the credit bureaus have placed on your profile -- including possibly very recently inquiries.
Some creditors may do one inquiry instantly and follow up a day or two later with an inquiry on another bureau if they're unsure of your profile.
This is why some of the credit card app sprees have not been very successful. CC banks can certainly pull back the credit if there is anything they do not like.

By the same token, some accounts (e.g. Barclays, Synchrony and others) can ultimately report and display within 24 hours after approval.

Does anyone know how many cards you can apply for in one day across multiple institutions? Assuming you apply within seconds/minutes of each other, would each institution know that you applied at a whole bunch of other institutions?
How many accounts were you attempting to apply for?
6 in one day is my record -- 5 retail cards, and 1 credit card (Sony Card.)
I just assume if I can see it then they can see it.
If I am alerted 2 minutes after I applied that a new inquiry is in my report and I can see it then I know any other creditor who pulls my report can see it.
