I received approval for the Amex Bread Cashback card, but it wasn't instant.
I got a 7-10 message, letter shows up, and Comenity wants to verify identity.
Call in to verify. They said I would get another letter.
The second letter says declined due to inability to verify identity.
I gather social security card, DL, passport, paystubs, bank statement, etc., reference the decline notice, express my interest in becoming a customer, and mail them a copy to an address on the letter.
3 weeks goes by. I get a call from the Account Protection Team; I send them a copy of the back of my social security card to finish the application. End of the call -- approved for $3,500.
Two days later I get a welcome email confirming approval and was able to add the card to my phone wallet.

When I get the card I *may* ask for a CLI -- seems like recently it's been hit or miss whether it's a SP or HP.
