First off, BIG thanks to UncleB and twdawg for a bit of hand holding!
After a preemptive recon (applied for a card, and then sent a secured message explaining my reasons for the card, the reason for my BK, and providing pay stubs BEFORE they asked or denied me out of hand), I was approved for a goRewards for an amazing $14,200 @ 15.24%. I know its not the best rate they offer, but its MY lowest rate so far. PLUS, there's a 0% for 6 months offer right now.
While I've done nothing but improve my financial situation over the past two years, strategic use of balance transfers could literally save me a significant amount in interest payments each month that can now go soley towards principal. Bonus: I can stretch the 0% to nearly 14 months if I transfer some back to my Discover by February.
Anyway, thanks to everybody who posts here and shows the rest of us that all the hard work pays off AND never take "No" for an answer from a creditor!
I believe I am now FIRMLY in the garden until well after my wedding next year!
