I just got a letter in the mail from US Bank that said "you may qualify for a credit line increase"
Go to usbank.com/cl to "finalize your request"
It had me verify who I was (not log in) and then put in my income and monthly housing payment. Before I knew it, the next screen said...
Congratulations!
Congratulations. Subject to final credit processing, your credit line will increase by $4,500.00, raising your total credit line to $9,500.00 for this account.
Please allow 2-3 business days for final processing, after which time any new credit line will be available.
You will also receive written confirmation via U.S. Mail in 7-10 business days.
Woohoo! Not sure what I would have requested (probably 12.7k like my amex) but super happy. Would have been unbelievable to be over 10k on a second bank card but very happy for the 9.5k. I've been using it to make some smaller purchases instead of just my rewards categories (especially with the new quarter cap). Maybe they're trying to convince me to use it more... Considering my capital one card has been frauded TWICE in the past month (two new account numbers and everything) it seems appealing... I just wish their online banking interface was in the 21st century...

I got it summer of 2012, I think it was my first 5k card.

Congrats!
Congrats!
So they mailed you a letter in order to tell you that they would be mailing you a letter confirming your credit limit increase.
I don't know why people think US Bank is old fashioned. I just don't see it...

Congratulations OP, nice CLI.
Very nice - congrats!
Ha ha. I was so excited about the soft almost doubling CLI that I didn't think about that they mailed me a letter to just mail me another letter.... Very funny.
