I should mention that this is about 31 days since the last time I clicked the button.  I had been doing it every other month, but seeing as how some people have been getting them monthly I figured WTH.

Congratulations on your increase! I'm kind of scared to do it, but I really want to hit the LUV button so bad, but holding off. My card just unsecured last month and I got a increase then, so I figure I better wait to try again.

Why are you afraid to hit the luv button? I don't think discover holds it against you. If your request is denied they even say something like "try again soon" or something like that. My first request was denied but then I got an auto CLI the next day from them. I tried again after a couple weeks and was denied and then given another at 31 days.
