Actually, this would be evidence that the AU card IS being factored in your scoring. When balances go up, scores generally go down.
If your AU cards are "legitimate" (from a spouse, etc.), they will probably continue to be used for scoring indefinitely. Nevertheless, you should get at least two cards in your own name. Stuff happens.
The score boost from your AU cards should help you, but do realize that lenders can tell that these aren't *really* your cards. So don't get offended if you don't get huge CL's; just take what you've got, work it perfectly for 6-7 months, and then go on from there.
