Amex BCE denied automatically........ Recon or give up?

I know, I know..... I was warned not to apply and garden, but I saw so many recent approvals for this card especially with baddies, so I pulled the trigger and it blew up in my face. My EX has one baddie as of now (t-mobile collection that was just put on my credit report last month.) I have auto loan history with 2 years of perfect payments and my oldest credit cards are 14 months old with perfect payments. I do have a bunch of inquiries and I did open a bunch of accounts last year. Back to the garden I go. I saw Amex approvals with baddies, with no credit history, and even Citi cards being approved with baddies.... so confused! Should I recon for Amex????! I should have listened to you guys *sighs.*

Might as well not waste the HP, recon it. FWIW with a new collection not good idea to app.

I thought the only way to recon the App with Amex was to send in a copy of your report.. and it almost always results in another HP... ?

Correct. Amex will recon IF there was an error on the credit reort they pulled.  Asking for a recon without a corrected report, will result in another denial and possibly a hp
