Amex UTL Question

Will Amex freak out if I have a high balance on one card?  All of my other cards are very low, but I just bought a TV on my Target Visa.  The utl on the VISA is high, but my overall is 26%.

I've read enough about Amex to say confidently than anything and/or everything, no matter how big or small, or significant or insignificant can freak out Amex. Sometimes I think they are bipolar.

That's what I'm afraid of....

I use the Amex alot and PIF every month eventhough it's a revolver.  Hopefully, that will make them feel better....

Anything you can do to lower the overall util ought to help as well.

How long have you had the card?

I've had the card for less than six months.  I didn't want to put the TV on that card because I wanted the ability to pay over time.  I will pay off a decent amount next week.  I don't plan on keeping the high utl very long....

 AMEX IS BIPOLAR to say the least.  EVERYTHING FREAKS THEM OUT. Be on guard every time you use your card after  a large purchase.  They are definitely lowering credit limits left and right.  I have amex gold. I pay on time and in full and yet they have lowered my CL 2x i didn't receive the letter until a few weeks after the fact.

I hate AMEX-

But I would have used the AMEX to buy a TV. As long as you pay it off in a few months - not a big deal. I would have taken the extra waranty you would have gotten on the AMEX and likley a lower APR.
