Amex pre-approvals for current cardmembers

Hi All,

Im gatering data points on pre-approval offers for current Amex cardholders which I think will be helpful to current cardholders. Id like to know the following:

Have up been offered pre-approvals or upgrades

How did you find out you were pre-approved or offered an upgrade

Any incentives offered

Have you accepted any offers and if so, where you approved or denied

What was your credit line

I have neither been offered nor accepted an upgrade on either of my Amex cards (neither is 13 months old yet)

A few months ago, I started getting offers to apply for the Business Platinum with a 75k MR bonus... they showed up in my Amex Offers.

1. Yes, I've been offered both.
2. Amex Offers & Benefits on Home page. Sometimes via email too.
3. I don't remember if there were any incentives offered.
4. No, I haven't accepted any offers.
5. N/A

You didn't ask, but I'm adding it for an additional data point. I currently have a BCE with an 18K CL, opened Jan 2015 but backdated to November 2006 with a 2K SL.

Logged onto existing Amex TE account

$250 signup-spend a thousand 3mos. + $200 more possible thru wireless discounts

Yes,  immediate approval

$22K

The TE that is expiring in June is/was my only Amex connection. I'd had several previous BCE offers that weren't nearly as lucrative.

I've been with Amex over a year and a half and since then they've never offered me anything, or granted me anything I've asked them for.
