Hi,
can somebody confirm that the Sallie Mae card gives 5% cash back for the first $750 a month at Amazon ?

I believe the order has to be processed by Amazon to qualify and if so yes
Amazon codes as a bookstore, so so long as it continues to do so yeah, you should get your 5% back.

thanks

Some electronic purchases from Amazon might not qualify. Amazon, including Amazon Marketplace Payments codes as a book store. But Amazon Digital Services codes as a Record Shop (I believe many kindle purchases get coded this way which is strange; they should get the bookstore coding). Record shops don't get 5%, book stores do.

Yes.

Also of note is that for the Chase Amazon rewards card, ALL of those purchases do count for the 3% on that one. So if you're a big Amazon spender like I am, weigh the pros and cons of each card to see what's right for you.
If you're a big Amazon spender and don't want to deal with points ambiguity, go for their store card with 5% rather than the Chase one, which is no way special any more.

FYI there are countless prior threads that can confirm this as well. Not all charges qualify as indicated above.
