Pretty cool how it's itemized like that to show you exactly how it's working.
The 10% bonus and 10 Points is from the Freedom and Checking 10/10, right?
So, you made 27 purchases on the Freedom for the 270 bonus points? And, you get 10% bonus on those purchases along with the 10 points per purchase?

Thanks for this statement. It shows exactly how they do their calculations. I was wondering if they gave the 10% bonus on the net purchase amount or the net points amount (including the 10 pt fixed bonus). It's clearly the former.

@bribro wrote:FrugalRican, it's fairly hard to justify the $95 CSP AF from a breakeven points perspective, since the regular (non-AF) Sapphire already gives you that 2x on travel and restaurants.
For me, the value of the CSP comes from the ability to do 1:1 transfers to airline partners. For instance, points are worth ~$0.02 on Southwest. So if you keep your CSP to travel/restaurant purchases, as you should when using the Chase trifeca, you're getting $0.0428 for $1 spent (a 4.28% points yield) in SW travel value . The no foreign transaction fee, Visa Signature concierge, and 40k bonus points make it a no-brainer. The metallic card is also nice too.
Agreed.I already have a No Forex and Visa Sig concierge with the Hyatt VISA, but it never hurts to have a second card with it.
I'd definitely be transferring to United though. Love the option.
Love that I can transfer even points I pick up on my debit card towards the CSP.
I just edited that post, since I forgot the CSP has 2x on travel but regular Sapphire doesn't. So, you'd have to spend >=$9,038.47 on travel alone to justify the $95 AF. But again, that's not the whole picture.
Yep, just counted. 27 purchases for that statement period.
And yep, I have the 10/10.
To be honest, I'm even more convinced now to just mostly SD my BCE. I've only been using it so that it looks pretty for the upcoming 61 day CLI, but after seeing this itemization, why would I use anything BUT the Freedom?

With your set up, the only reason to use the BCE would be for the 3% on groceries.
So technically, if for 30 days, I spent a dollar a day on coffee, I'd be getting 333 points from just that:
30 Points on Purchases
3 10% per 1 Spent
300 Bonus 10 Points per Purchase
And I'd get a little bit more, if I'm buying coffee from a Wawa (Gas station) during the 5% cashback quarters.
Any other card, I'd be getting just 30 points for 30 dollars worth of coffee.
With the 10/10, I'm getting 333+.
Does this look correct?

And in non-grocery quarters. Right now it's Grocery quarter in Chase.
This has been a sad revelation for the BCE.

My understanding is that you will get 303 points.
30 purchases X 10 = 300
@30 @ 1$ = $30 X 10% = 3
For 303.
I'll take the 303 over the 30 any day.

Heck yea!
I buy coffee 3 to 4 times per day for myself and associates. That alone will make this worth it for me.
PS - Until now, I was using my Zync for 2X points for personal coffee & restaurants for the MR Points, but now I'm seriously considering changing this to Freedom/CSP combo.
