Doing a little more research...now I'm thinking Chase Freedom. 0% on BT for 15 mo., Plus, I'm sure it helps that I have my mortgage with them as well. Never late...

TiggerDat..... I have one baddie that will fall off Experian in Feb '16. Might wait foir that if that is who they pull.
CreditAddict.... I did check that. It said "BungalowMo, , we couldn't match your records to a card offer.
But based on your answers, we think you might like this card."
Then they had a pic of the QS card!!
BigBlue.... I really do want this card...but after gardening for 6 mo since my car loan, I'm a little shaky! (read- chicken!)
SunriseEarth.... So...apparently they do forgive...
Cap One will pull EX. And EQ. And TU. And Innovis. And probably some other podunk CRA. They pull everyone for account openings.
As mentioned, Cap 1 will pull all 3 (HP). if you do app for QS1, they are good about PC after 6 or 12 months.
I got approved for my Venture with a 5yo chargeoff on their books (settled for less than full amount). The chargeoff was actually with HSBC before the merger, so that may have factored into it. My only other Cap1 card at the time was the Best Buy MC.
At the time, I came *this close* to applying for the Barclay Arrival instead of the Venture, precisely because I was worried about the chargeoff. But apparently they liked my spot-free payment history since the chargeoff well enough.
I suspect that if I'd had even a single 30-day late in that period, I probably would have been denied. My goal since the chargeoff has been to look as squeaky clean as possible to all my creditors, and it seems to be working.
