For those who are interested, this is what happened this week to my Cap 1 CC.
On Thursday, 10/25 I pulled up my account on-line and on the "My Statement " page there was a line item that said "Important Account Message" so I clicked the button and up came the following: "For successfully completing "Capitol One Credit Steps" you've earned a credit limit increase.
Of course I immediately checked and it was true, the increase took my CL from $1,500 to $2,000.
This took me by surprise because I've only received 3 statements from them and never heard "Capitol One Credit Steps". Oh well, I'll take a $500 increase every 3 months, no problem.
