Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
There are plenty of other credit card brands out there so I won't lose any sleep over it. Just a part of life. II'll look for another card that provides airline miles then swtich airlines after my Delta miles run out in a few years
In my case I know for a fact that Bank of America blacklists. I had a writeoff with them back in 2007, and til this date I can't open a Checkings/Savings/ or Credit Card with them.
They decline me on the spot, and ask me to call a certain number. When I did, guess what....it was the "Recovery Dept." *hangs up*
Like other say, don't loos sleep over it. There are many other companies with better rewards, or similar.
Happy with my current lenders. Amex, Discover, Chase
How about Discover? And if the answer is yes, would that include Walmart Discover?
I _think_ I had a Discover card when I filed for BK (it's been awhile and there was a lot included).

Walmart Discover is backed by GE, not Discover themselves.
Discover do blacklist as well but compared to Chase / Citi / Amex, they're more forgiving. Then again, it really depends on how much you burned them for, and how much time has passed.
I'd have to pull my paperwork from the BK but I'm thinking the balance was in the $15k range.
Had both Cap1 and AMX in my BK7
Cap1 gave me card 2 months after and last year so about 8years into my BK got Amex.
I think my Cap1 was for 1500-2500 range and my Amex charge card was $650ish.
When I try to get CLI with Amex I told due to BK big fat NO.
Amex sky $2000, Amex BCE $8800 both stuck at initial limits.
Now that I think about it I also had Citi but never applied.

I am not surprised that Cap1 let you back but am really surprised AMEX did. I am happy they did as well since people do deserve another chance. Maybe it is because it was a rather low amount during the BK7
@masscredit wrote:Is there a list of credit cards that blacklist? I'm going to be interested in AMEX and maybe Chase in the future but I had significant balances with them when I filed for Bk in '09. I'd realy like to get another Skymiles card. I'm starting to get low on miles.
+3 on BoA/FIA. I had a Fleet Bank card that I went bad on in 2002 when I was a noob about credit. BoA acquired Fleet in 2004 or so. It's since been paid and off my CR and they wouldn't even let me get a secured card when I tried to apply back in 2009.
Never burned Chase or AMEX so no idea there really.
I had an C/O'd Sears MasterCard that Citi took over in 2004-2005. It was paid in 2005...when I tried to apply for a Citi Forward card last year, I was declined but nothing about previous derog obligations was mentioned in the decline letter. I'm really not sure....maybe once my CR gets really good I'll try to apply for Citi again. At that point I'll know for sure. I never had a Citi card from them directly, though so maybe it's different for the co-branded ones?
Capital One on the other hand: Had a c/o'd card, they even sued for me for it and I paid them at that point (this was 2004 or so). Fast forward to today I now have 3x the credit I had with them in the first place...lol.

+1. If you burned them for that much, your chances of getting back with Chase and Amex are virtually none.
I burned Chase for over $80K in my BK. I have a United MileagePlus Club card now. As always, YMMV.
Citi denied me just last month for Dividend Card, their reason BK in 1996 for 18K with them. They have a long memory but it is YMMV, I have read about others getting in less than 10 yrs after burning them for even larger amounts.
