So I pulled the trigger on an increase with Discover. My 6th statement just cut. The rep advised that after 6 months of payments, they will review the account, but I could try today. She also said no hard pull. She asked income, how much I wanted, and what for. I hate when they ask how much. I had a $3k limit and asked for $6k. It was approved.
I used my card like crazy and paid in full most months. I have a zero balance right now.

what was your reasoning as to why you wanted it?
BT. After the increase, my mother submitted a BT from her HSBC card to her AMEX card and HSBC denied the request. The reason why they denied it was that there weren't any BT offers available at the moment.
