I recently got approved for a discover card. After submitting my basic info (name, ssn, dob, etc.) the system clocked for a bit them prompted me to enter additional info (employer, job title, years employed, salary). Then I got an instant approval! With a prompt to set up online profile.
Have you tried the check staus link?

I just called the backdoor number I found on here, CS lady was nice as can be. She asked me how long ago my BK was filed, I said almost three years. She then asked why I wanted the CC, I said I was rebuilding my credit and wanted to begin a relationship with a reputable CC company, she then said I am going to move you to our Discover More card and give you a 1K limit. That worked for me!! Kind of a bizarre process, but worked out.

If you have seen the Discover "It" card, you can PC to it, same reward structure, but enhacned benefits. I had my More for less than a week and PC'd. No hard pull or anything, just took like 5 minutes via online chat.
and, CONGRATS!!!!!
Logan.
