Yes, just sign up for online statements and they will give you your free FICO score, it updates once per month on the 10th business day.
It's been awhile since I got the card, but it seems like they were very quick in posting to the credit bureaus, I believe it was less than a week.

SWEET!! So anxious to get this card!! Now im thinking about closing 1st Premier!
Congrats! I wanted to get one when they sent me a preapproval but I had too many new accounts and didn't want to damage my AAOA even further. Good card if you shop there often, and a free TU to boot too!
Congrats!!! I was tempted before I added a Discover card (which does cash-over) so other than the FICO score I dont really see any other advantages with either the Discover or Store card,
IMHO, the Wal-Mart store card is one of the better ones out there. In addition to the free FICO TU score each month, you can use this card at all Sam's Clubs, Wal-Marts, Wal-Mart-affiliated gas stations (10 cents off per gallon through the end of 2011 I believe), and can even get up to $60 cash back WITHOUT A CASH ADVANCE FEE.
I have one with a $600 limit..it'll be handy on Black Friday! ![]()
I agree with the others. I really like my WalMart card. Despite the store's sometimes bad rep, they do have everything. I think of them as a one-stop-shop kind of place. But not low on the totem pole in terms of merchandise. They have tried and true brands and some lesser known but still deserving brands. I go there for the snacks for my toddlers school lunch. They beat the grocery stores by far.
Walmart reported faster than the USPS - It hit my reports before the card hit my hot little hand.
YES dump FP. You will be happy. Maybe they'll offer you 45 bucks to keep it open like they did to me. (They asked me why closing, I said monthly fees, they said will you keep open for money? I said yes. I spent money, then closed it).
I also like the fact that you can make a payment all the way up to 11:59 pm (EST) and it will still post to your account that same day. That's a pretty late cut-off, but I'll take it.
SO I check my TU report this morning and no INQ for Walmart......
Didn't see anything for Lowes either, might just be slow.
