Fingerhut now offering a free EQ FICO 8 [UPDATED]

I hadn't seen this before today, but I was clicking around in my Fingerhut account to see if something I ordered had posted yet so I could pay it off, and it looks like they're now offering a free FICO 8 for Equifax. Mine's a little outdated (9/6/16) and I can't seem to figure out how often it's supposed to update but having a free FICO 8 for Equifax is really quite handy to go along with my FICO 8 for Transunion from Discover.

Thought I'd share. My apologies if this is old news, but I found it pretty interesting. One more piece of data to glance at.

Edited 10/21/2016 --- Looks like it refreshed on my account, now showing a date of 10/11/2016. So it's on a delay but from what it looks like, it's still monthly. That could be VERY helpful to those that already have FH and needed the EQ FICO 8.

It looks like Webbank isues the Fingerhut credit card, and also the gettington credit card. I wonder if the Gettington card is also offering a free Equifax Fico 08?

By the way, can you do a screen shot of the info about the Fingerhut Free Fico? I'm interested in the details, such as how often the score is provided, any gotchas, etc.

I don't see anything about how often the score is provided at all, it's just on there in the back office and it didn't used to be.

I'll keep looking to see if I see anything else on there once I get back to my laptop (typing from mobile right now).

Yeah, i just checked my FH account, i actually saw a fico 8 from EQ dated from August. Not sure if i would still eligible for this since i closed my account but i can atill access my account online. That would be cool if i could still receive free. Now wveryone gonna want a FH

Mine's dated September 6 but I can't find ANYTHING that talks about how often it gets updated. I've taken a couple mobile screenshots that are terrible so in a little bit I'll get back on my laptop and see if I can find anything else.

I would like to know how often it updates. I've tried googling but can find nothing about it so it must be incredibly new.

I just checked out my DH's FH account, and the EQ FICO 8 is there. It was generated on 9/16, the date he was approved and placed his first order. The only weird thing is that FH shows his score as 691, and according to CCT it was 555 on 9/2 and 553 on 10/7. Not sure why the huge discrepancy but, if it turns out to be accurate down the road, this would be a great resource for those who need a free EQ score.

I knew mine was real because its so disappointingly low;(. Haha lol! I cant wait for the bk to go jump off the proverbial cliff

Mine also looks accurate for the date it's posted.

I wonder if it's quarterly or monthly or what. Clearly if it's monthly it's on a month+ delay but that would still be something.

I'm not sure which one to believe...I think 691 is a little high, but then again CCT had his EX at 661 then 693, but then it took a nosedive to 603 when his FH account reported. I felt kinda bad, but I promised him it would go back up.

I totally agree about BK jumping off a cliff. I have quite a ways to go though!
