Blinking Mickey has given way to static Mickey. Darn the 508/WCAG Compliance Smiley Sad

Can't say it wasn't expected tho.

Mail Call:

AMEX letter informing me that POT/Plan It option would be auto added to my account in April.

I declined as I hear sometimes they offer SUB to add that to your accounts.

Cloudy, rainy day in Orlando, the sky crying for the demise of blinking Mickey RIP.

I am on the other side of you here in Tampa. Looking like a bad weather day, Thanks, Late cold front.

I think we should incorporate Ric's all encompassing SCHNEESHEE into our word for app here so we can maintain the focus and UncleB's sanity. Instead of saying i was gonna app or i am going to app, just say i was gonna Schnee. Or i want to SchneeSmiley Wink. Re: Garden Club - March 2018

Just dropping by to water my seedling.  2 more days until my spade unless BoA is naughty and HPs for my PC.

No sign of my PC to Cash Rewards online yet... from reading threads here it can take BoA a few weeks to process a PC... no idea why, it should just be a few clicks and bam, done, right?  I might not have it in time for my trip next month.   My CLDs in January appeared online within 15 minutes.

Re: Garden Club - March 2018

After I replied to someone's post, they messaged me asking why I lowered my limits... I get that question a lot, since it's the opposite of what most of us do here.

I have many reasons, but I've boiled it down to these three main ones:

1.  To control spending.

2.  To keep ego in check.  My ego is tortured when it sees all these signature lines with 5-figure limit cards listed.  I hate my ego, so the more I torture it, the better. Smiley Happy

And this is my newest one, which I wanted to share here, hence this post:

3.  Most people on here see high limits as symbols of achievement, especially while building/rebuilding.  To start from nothing (or a bankruptcy) and getting into 5-figure limits shows that achievement.  I've had excellent credit for many years.  If I wanted to, and worked for it, I could hit an 850 FICO or multiple 5-figure cards and a 6-figure total... but I'm in my 50s now, and I'm well past that.  I've done the climb, I've reached the summit, I've enjoyed the view, but now I'm through with all that, maybe even bored with it now, and am climbing back down.  I know what my typical spending patterns are, and I know what I need, and don't need, for cards and limits.  And I have my limits set accordingly.

So there you have it. Smiley Happy

Re: Garden Club - March 2018

So have have been GW my *** off to get some lates removed from an old car loan with Heights Finance.  They keep denying me, and even though I belive they sould have now aged off my CR they are still there on 2 of the 3 reports.   My CR shows 150 days late in July 2011., they did not report 30, 60, or 90 day lates but if I am 150 days late in July 2011 then I was 30 days late in March 2011 and the lates should dissapear.   I disupted to all three CRA.  EX says they updated my info, the update was they added a 30 day late in Feb  2014 which was current cause that is the month I paid it off.  On TU the lates have dissapeard, YAY!  On TU the only past history for this account was the lates.   No change to EQ yet.

So Heights Finance dosne't want to help me out, or even do what they should and then in the mail yesterday I get a solicitation form them to take out a personal loan.   What really bugs me is that when I had the car loan they worked with me when I got behind, now they don't want to do a thing except loan me more money.

Re: Garden Club - March 2018

Morning everyone!

You know that incoming snowstorm that was supposed to hit the northeast tomorrow? Well apparently that storm is going to hit hard enough in the early morning that our flight out is not even sure will fly so we're looking into leaving late this afternoon. We rescheduled our flight to a 5pm-ish departure but probably won't be able to leave home from Houston til early the next morning so an overnight stay is looking likely. Boss spoke to them and they understood; good chance we don't leave tonight we might not leave for awhile and don't fancy being holed up in a hotel even if it's a suite like the Hyatt.

Stay safe everyone and will try to catch up if not later this afternoon then tonight.
