Getting BCP AF waived after PC?

Hi everyone,

I have the old Amex Blue Cash card (the tiered one with 5% on groc, gas, drug stores after first $6500 spent).  I have had the card since 2010, and have been using it for my everyday charges since I've had it. I didn't care about maximizing my rewards before, but now am interested in PC'ing to the BCP.  Has anyone had any luck with asking Amex to waive the $75 AF for the first year after PCing?  Thanks.

When I asked, they said it's for new customers only. If you think about it, it makes sense...why should they want to give you better rewards without making any more money from you? You aren't opening a new line with them.
