I received another promo offer from Barclays, this time they sent it via US Mail.
July 1 - September 30, 2014
2 bonus points per $1 spent on qualifying purchases at grocery store, drug store, and electronics stores. Up to 2500 bonus points.
This is on my older platinum Sallie Mae card, so it becomes 7% Grocery store, 5% Gas station, 5% Book Store, 3% Drug Store, 3% Electronics store.
This is the third quarter in a row that Barclays has given me a bonus offer. Jan - Mar was on my Priceline card, and the next 2 quarters was on my Platinum Sallie Mae.
My World Sallie Mae is only 2.5 months old, so I don't know when they will give me any bonus offers on that card.

I've had the Sallie Mae card since February and have used it for all of my grocery and gas purchases since then. I hope I'll eventually get one of these targeted offers from them.
For those that have received the offers, what's your secret? How long have you had your card and how often do you use it? Do you carry a balance?
Well, currently I have an extra 2 points on Gas Stations, Dining and Home Improvement. I have a better card for restaurants, and I live in an apartment, and I dont buy Gas except for the occasional half price donuts... So the April - June promo was pretty much worthless to me.
But January - March, and now July - September I got the bonus on Grocery, so thats always a good usable bonus category. And Drugstore! Finally i have a good card for Drugstore purchases. not for long, but i'll take it.
And I always pay in full, though usually the Priceline is the card I allow to report before I pay it off. Just show Barclays lots of steady usage and they will show you the love.

I saw a web site once that mentioned someone had 4 identical Barclay cards in their wallet. these were travel cards obtained for the signup bonuses, but I fail to see what would stop someone from getting more than 2 Sallie Mae cards. With the proper planning of course.
