Hey broseph23, do you know if asking for a CLI in-store is usually more successful than asking for one over the phone? I recently asked for one but was denied; the rep said that I simply needed to wait another 2 months (it's been 4 months since my last CLI), but otherwise everything on my account looked good. I'd thought that with Nordstrom, you could ask for a CLI every 4 months. Have they increased it to every 6 months now?
Since I can't get a CLI now, I'm thinking of asking them to lower me to the next interest rate tier instead. Again, would I be more successful going through the customer service counter at a local Nordstrom?

Another question. You said that Nordstrom is inquiry-sensitive, with the limit being 4+. My Experian report has fewer inquiries than my TU one. Do you know if Nordstrom looks at all 3 CRs when considering whether to grant a CLI?
Okay, I lied. One more question. My CL is currently $3.5K. I feel like $5K wouldn't be an unreasonable new CL (and I could get the Visa Signature too), if and when I get that CLI (2 more months to go!), but I would like more. How generous is Nordstrom with their CLIs?

I had a very poor experience during the Nordstrom app process.. I apped online, received the 7-10 day processing message. I called after 2 days and they verified address and identity info over the phone said that they are mailing me a letter to provide a utility bill and license.. I received the letter and in return sent them in a copy of a utility bill, drivers license and even a copy of my passport AND voter reg card.. All had my complete name and address that matched what was in the credit agencies, every document I provided had my same exact name and address.. I've been at the same address for 7.5 yrs, prior address for 10yrs, I have a straight forward and simple name and I received a reply letter saying I was declined because they could not verify my identify.. I was stunned.. I've shopped at Nordstrom for 15yrs. Every suit I have is from there. I have virtually every fragrance they carry and I buy all of my grooming supplies exclusively at Nordstrom.. They've got some serious process issues and after the thousands of dollars I've spent there, I have no intention of continuing to shop there given the circumstances..
