I called Orchard bank Friday to see if their're resuming cli and they said yes, the rep that I spoke to said someone from that department will call me back. Yesterday I received a call from EO and the rep ask me a few questions like how much I want, annual income and HP!! I was unsure if I wanted to do a HP but did it anyways. She said I'll know in a couple of days so we'll see what happens. I been with Orchard since 2010 cl $520 paid ontime every month, I asked for $1000 so I'll keep you guys informed on what happens.
have this funny feeling it will be like $100 CLI like usual...for a hard pull...no thanks
if I had to choose...id take the soft pull and $100 every few months than $500 and a hard pull...thats jut me though...just want the extra utilization...i enver really use my orchard card with AMEX and Chase in my wallet.
I called the customer service number for my household bank card just now to ask if they were accepting credit limit increase requests. they said they were. I then asked if it would be a soft pull or a hard pull and they said they couldn't tell me because they are not credit experts. i put the phone on mute briefly and laughed out loud.
Came back on the phone and explained very calming that every other credit company i deal with, even if their CSR are outsourced, knows whether a request will require a soft pull or a hard pull of the customers credit report. I asked for a supervisor who was less snotty, but she was no help either, just more polite.
I declined to request a credit limit increase. I have a contact in the EO of household bank that I'll contact again for another CLI next month.
Verdict: Frontline CSR's still useless.

This is exactly what I was thinking...They got me once...
The last CLI I got from Orchard (before I ditched them) was $100, I paid a fee for it, and they HPd me. Never again.
I left them gladly awhile back. They wanted to charge me to merge my two cards, wouldn't drop my annual fees, wouldn't cli me, and the measly $900 (between two separate cards, mind you!) wasn't worth it. I don't hate them-- they served their purpose-- but I do not understand their crazy policies about CLI, etc., long after a client has ceased to need their services. I would have kept them forever if they had just been reasonable with me...
I hope they are turning around. Good luck!
If you're over 700, you should have nothing but rewards cards and 1 or 2 emergency low apr high cl cards. orchard bank doesn't fit etiher of those categories. good for you getting rid of them.
@NJTurnpike: You're right I guess. I called them to increase my $300 limit, and they said system is not accepting any CLIs. I'll try one more time, and if not I'll just cancel my card.
