Just signed up for this card. I'm switching from a MC. The MC was only giving me 1% on everything and wasn't worth my time. I use it for both business and personal. I only like to have one credit card. My MC had a CL of 25k. I've been reading that the AMEX really doesn't have a CL but more a limit on single purchases... Is that right? I don't want to have to call them when I'm purchasing something thats 3-5k and make sure it will clear. Am I going to have to do this? If so thats going to get really annoying due to my nature of business...

AMEX charge cards are NPSL ( no preset spending limit ), which means that they adjust your limit up as you build positive payment history with them over time. Your limit should grow quickly assuming that you pay early and often. You can always call in and they'll tell you the limit or use the "check my spending ability" feature on your on~line account.
