Recon Numbers?

Is it just me or is anyone else suspecious about calling numbers the get off the internet and giving over all there info? Soc,address, name, dob. Is there a place on discovers or any creditors websites that list recon numbers?. I just get nervous calling numbers off forums, even though I love this site.

maybe, if they weren't from a reputable site. I have no issues with most of the info posted on myFICO.
