Congrats , target cli's are pretty easy to get if you use your card and pay it

I have the Visa.  I rec'd the Red in May of 02, it was upgraded to Visa in or around Aug 03.  It sat with a 1k limit from Aug 03 until Feb 08.  I guess those 6 month milestones still count -- even after 4.5 years!

Did you guys request to upgrade to the Visa, or was it automatic? Target is strange...my highest limit is $17,250 and they gave me a measly $200...go figure

They auto upgraded me.  When I app'd all i could get was the store card.

I was just checking my True Credit reports, and noticed that EX is now reporting a $500 CL on my Target redcard, that I got end of Nov. 07, with the standard $200 starting limit.  I logged into my account and sure enough there it was! This was directly after my 3rd statement cut.  I hope for the Visa upgrade at 1 yr.  Yipee!

I'm not jealous or anything like that. DW maxes it out the first week she has the card and gets a CLI to $500 the same day. I use it 30% or less, PIF and am careful. 4 statements and payments later and nada. The mighty computer located in Target lives in another realm called Oppositeland.
