WF CLI

So, I've been reading about CLIs hard and soft pulls...I decided to call WF and ask for an increase, I've never done that before. I've also read they can be weird about even giving increases. I asked for 1.5k, received $700.  The CSR said if I still wanted the original amount I'd speak to an analyst and it would be a hard pull.  Went with the soft pull. Smiley Happy Yay me.

Congrats and glad to see WF giving you some luv! I like the fact that it is always a SP first and then if you want to proceed it will be a HP.

Re: WF CLI

Thank you both! I like that option as well, it works for me. BOA doesn't have that option, hard pulls all the way. I've budgeted two apps this year, one for Chase, which I was approved and  I'm saving my last app for disco to take advantage of a balance transfer like I did with Chase. Smiley Happy

Re: WF CLI

ok so after reading this thread, i got home, called WF and asked for a CLI. I was turned down, because my last CLI was done on Feb 7th, and I have to wait 60 days. So April 8th or 9th, I will be elligible for a CLI (hopefully).

Not true. I got my credit limit with BofA increased by 500% without a hard inquiry. Smiley Happy You can read about my experience here: http://hiepsfinance.wordpress.com/2013/01/30/bank-of-america-is-awesome/

Congratulations! WF is very conservative, so getting any CLI from them is quite an achievement! What was your current limit if you don't mind sharing? Smiley Happy
