I tried to get my Walmart MC to have a higher CL and I was sent a letter saying that $12.000 is the highest CL Walmart MC can have. Just a plan MC no World or anything else.
Well, it is a Wal-mart branded card. Im not sure how much you can expect from them as they dont carry anything nearly that expensive.
And their customer base isnt exactly what I would call "Credit worthy"..... lol
12K is a plenty good limit unless all your other cards are at 20K or something.

I think the fact of Wal-mart not selling anything valued above $12,000 is irrelvant, even if it were true. http://www.walmart.com/search/search-ng.do?cat_id=0&grid=false&sort=price_high
Seems like an unfortunate policy though

It all depends on your overall profile (internal hisotry and CRA-wise) as well as income, etc. There are individuals who have upward of $20K~ (or more) on Walmart MC. Mine used to be $15K but I lowered the CL to $12K to avoid any possible SYNCB overexposure issues.
Also, SYNCB does not issue any WMC or WEMCs-branded CCs. Visa Signature is only available with their EBates CC. AMEX and Discover are no longer part of the networks offered for any remaining dual cards.
You would be surprised how may wealthy good credit people that have Walmart Cards. I know quite a few who shop Walmart regular.
Thanks for the info. Always wondered if the Walmart MC could become a World Card. Now I know

I have a Walmart card. I have a 6 figure plus salary. I shop there. It's the only store for about 50 miles. So.........

Only store for 50 miles? Where do you live? Wyoming?

It is a Master Card...can be used ANYWHERE, not just Wal-Mart. So a $12,000 cl is not unreasonable.
You probably can't paint all WM shoppers with the same broad brush. There are those who shop at Neiman Marcus who aren't "creditworthy".
