So I had alerts and it was Cap1 HP on all three bureaus. After that someone called and asked some questions again, was very nice and asked to fax proof of income and said that probably they will get back to me by next week.
Don't know where it's going to lead but at least I had a very nice experience with Cap1. Customer service is 8/10.
They did this to me on a CLI. I've read that if they ask for proof of income they're probably going to grant it to you. If it was a complete denial they typically don't bother fact gathering. Of course YMMV

Better then My limit with them but it is a pretty good card for rewards
